Here’s the countdown for the Top 10 newborn baby items you must have, I have a three year old daughter right now and another planned, if I knew this stuff back then it’d of saved me a fortune, here we go.
1) Tommee Tippee Nappy Disposal Tub
You’d be surprised just how many Nappy’s your new little one goes through, you’ll be changing them at least every two hours, maybe even a little more from nerves.
This saves a hell of a lot of time, and is really handy. You take the nappy, you open the lid, you pop it in and do a twist, it bags it for you, in another bag, it’s great!
Tommee Tippee is the best brand in my opinion for most things, very useful these little bins as I’ve said and you can get yours here: http://amzn.to/2tvl7hr
2) Waterproof Silicone Bibs
Sounds a bit posh doesn’t it? But even when they’re on Formula milk, up until you start trying them with food, they are insanely messy eaters. You’ll be washing clothes 24/7 until you’re washer breaks down, at least with these, you won’t be washing the bibs as well.
Bibs come in all styles and materials, but for the best results you really want these, the ones you can just wipe clean, it saves the time and effort of washing. You can get yours here: http://amzn.to/2tvKfEt
3) Tommee Tippee Closer to Nature Starter Kit
Bottles are extremely important, getting wind up after a feed is hard, it’s suprisingly really hard. So make sure you get the best possible start with this essential kit.
You may be looking at the brush and thinking it looks like something for a toilet, it’s not – you need this. Getting milk out of a bottle isn’t that easy to simply rinse. The bottles are ready in both newborn and follow on size with appropriate teats. You can get yours here: http://amzn.to/2v0JJTr
4) Tommee Tippee Closer to Nature Microwave Steriliser
This item ties in with number 3, you’ll see people buying these fancy electric sterilisers, don’t fall into that TRAP. They work, but they take forever in a day to sterilise the bottles. The microwave one takes a few minutes and is easy to set up, just with water!
I used this item myself with the bottles and I can guarantee to you it’s worth the money.

5) Stuffed Blanket Toy
Most newborn are pretty much asleep for the first week or so, but after that your little one will want a best friend, besides you of course! We got one of these and our little one was obsessed with it. It’s soft and cuddly and just… get one and find out.
There are loads of different sorts but they do the same thing and theres a reason they’re so popular.

6) Moses Basket and Folding Stand
Did you think you’re little baby would sleep next to you? I highly discourage this as there’s loads of stuff that can do wrong. You need a safe sleeping environment that’s portable. The most important part being portable. There was times when we got her to sleep downstairs, then just carried the basket upstairs with us to bed.
You get a nice handy stand as you can see in the picture, it folds up, carry that upstairs and unfold it, then using the handles carry the basket up. They’re really comfortable up to a certain size for your baby and easy to manage, highly recommended you get simple rather than something flashy.

7) Video Baby Monitor with Camera and Night Vision
Sounds like something from a baby spy movie. We had a regular sound only Monitor and I really wish I had one of these at the time. Eventually you’ll end up leaving them to their own devices while they sleep, and it’s A LOT more piece of mind knowing that sound you just heard was just their arm moving as opposed to something, much worse.
In this day and age if the Technology for it is there, get it. Then in the future when it’s outlived it’s use you can aim it at your driveway and watch your car at night, just a thought.

8) Electric Breast Pump
Obviously this essential item is only if you are going to breast feed, and I’ve put this one in the list because it’s the best choice for it.
We didn’t personally breast feed but a family member did and she recommends this one.
Made by Tommee Tippee you can get yours here: http://amzn.to/2vCJECA
9) Hooded Cotton Baby Wrap Towel
Conventional towels won’t do, the ones you use are too rough and unless you plan to dab dry your baby every time it’s just no good. Your babies head is extremely delicate and you need the best after bath care. The hooded towel is perfect to wrap them up, dry them and keep them warm all in one.
Cotton is the best material, get yours here: http://amzn.to/2vCYDwc
10) Pressure Fit Security Gate
This is not so much for straight away, but it won’t take long for the little one to start crawling. Keep them safe from the stairs, the kitchen and other places you don’t want them wandering into. Safety first.
You may need more than one, we have have three! Get yours here: http://amzn.to/2v1h40w
This has been the top 10 essential items for newborns, remember there are a lot more items you need but you will figure them out as you go.
Congratulations and good luck!
